The 52nd Senior National Basketball Championship 2018 (Level 1) was completed with all matches being played in Indoor facilities according to the FIBA standards. It has been a real challenge for the Sri Lanka Basketball Federation to conduct this with indoor facilities, especially with the financial constraints SLBF is faced with. This is a very small step towards taking the National Basketball into next Level.

On successful completion of the 52nd Senior National Basketball Championship 2018 (Level 1) ,SLBF would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the organizing committee of the tournament led by the Vice President Paul Newman. 52nd Senior National Basketball Championship 2018 was concluded successfully on 12th January 2019 at the Sri Lanka Air Force Indoor Basketball Court ,Colombo 07.

Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy and former National Basketball player Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva graced the occasion as the Chief Guest Mr.Suresh Subramanium , President , National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka was the Guest of Honour.
